Charles M. Dake Jr. Collection
The Charles M. Dake collection includes personal correspondence, records, geneological materials, and writings with the bulk between 1942-1969. Dr. Dake was the first physician in Niagara Falls, N.Y. to specialize exclusively in anesthesiology. Included in the collection are records of Dr. Dakes military service during World War II; minutes of the anaestesiology department of Niagara Falls Memorial Hospital and Mount St. Mary's Hospital; and genealogical materials related to the Dake-Deake-Van Deake families. Also included are baking recipes of Charles M. Dake Sr. who was in the baking business at the Niagara Baking Co. and the Faxon, Williams & Faxon Bakery from 1883 to 1913.
