John T. Kearns

John T. Kearns was born in Champaign, Illinois in 1936.  He earned a BA from Notre Dame (1958), and both an MA (1960) and Ph.D. (1962) from Yale University.  Kearns joined the faculty of the University at Buffalo Department of Philosophy in 1964.  He was promoted to associate professor in 1969 and full professor in 1978.  During his tenure at UB, Kearns served in a number of departmental positions.  He retired from the University at Buffalo in 2018.
