M. Laura Feltri
Death: 2023Laura Feltri joined the faculty of the University at Buffalo's Jacob's School of Medine and Biomedical Sciences in 2011, having been the head of the neurologia unit of the San Raffaele Scientific Institute in Milan, Italy. She was recruited as a researcher at UB's Hunter James Kelly Research Institute where her husband and coinvestigator Lawrence Wrabetz was named director. Feltri later became the director of UB's Institute for Myelin and Glia Exploration.
In 2013, Laura Feltri was named Distinguished Postdoc Mentor by the Office of Postdoctoral Scholars in UB's Graduate School. In 2019, Feltri received the State University of New York Chancellor's Award for Excellence in Scholarship and Creative Activities and in 2020, she was named SUNY Distinguished Professor in Biochemistry.
