Arnold Berleant

Arnold Berleant is a scholar of philosophy and music. He was born on March 4, 1932 in Buffalo, New York. He received both his Bachelors of Music and Master of Arts from the Eastman School of Music and his doctorate of philosophy from the State University of New York at Buffalo. Arnold Berleant has taught and lectured nationally and internationally, including positions at San Diego State College (currently San Diego State University), the State University of New York at Buffalo, Sarah Lawrence College, and the University of Louisville. He is currently Professor Emeritus, philosophy faculty, C.W. Post, Long Island University, where he taught from 1962-1992.
