Howard R. WolfBorn: 1936
Howard Wolf joined the faculty of the University at Buffalo Department of English in 1967 as an assistant professor. He earned a B.A. from Amherst College (1959), an M.A. from Columbia University (1960) and Ph.D. from the University of Michigan (1967). He was promoted to associate professor in 1972 and full professor in 1979. During his tenure at UB, he served as director of Undergraduate Studies in the Department of English. He retired in 2007, becoming emeritus professor of English and continued teaching as an adjunct professor until 2010.
