John C.G. Boot

John C. G. Boot was born in Indonesia in 1936. He received his Ph.D. from the Netherlands School of Economics in 1964. In 1965, Boot joined the faculty of the UB School of Management in the Department of Management Science and Systems and was named the chair of that department in 1991. An dedicated advocate for students, he fought for changes to UB's faculty code of conduct that would prevent faculty from having relationships with students under their supervision.
