Gerald L. O'Grady

Gerald O’Grady joined the faculty of UB in 1967 as a professor of medieval literature. He was a pioneering media scholar who, in the early 1970s, founded UB’s Center for Media Study. When founded, the Center for Media Study was one of a few such centers that taught the theory and practice of film and video. O’Grady also established UB’s Educational Communication Center and managed WBFO, UB’s public radio station. He retired from UB in 1994.
Gerald O’Grady died on March 26, 2019.
