Gail Paxson Mates

Gail Paxson Mates was born in Buffalo, New York on August 25, 1938.  She received a B.A. from the University of Rochester and an M.A. in Bacteriology from the University at Buffalo.  In 1994, Mates was named the director of development for the University Libraries and the School of Information and Library Studies.  After she retired, Mates earned her Master of Library Science from UB.
