Murray Levine

Murray Levine joined the faculty of the University at Buffalo's Department of Psychology in 1968.  Known for helping launch the field of community psychology, he was the director of UB's clinical and community psychology program.  Levine enrolled in the UB Law School, graduating cum laude in 1983 and became an adjunct professor in the Law School.  Levine had an interest in how law and social policy affected children.  He co-directed UB's Research Center for Children and Youth (now the Center for Children and Families) and was co-editor of the journal Law and Policy.  Levine was named SUNY Distinguished Service Professor in 1995.  He retired from UB in 2000.
