Ernest J. Hausmann

Dr. Ernest J. Hausmann was born on June 19, 1929 in Heidelberg, Germany and raised in Queens.  He earned his BA in chemistry from New York University (1951), a DMD from Harvard University (1956) and a Ph.D. from the University of Rochester (1960).  Haussman was a professor in the UB School of Dental Medicine for 37 years. Beginning as an assistant professor in 1964, he was promoted to associate professor in 1964 and full professor in 1970.  Haussman also served as the director of the Special D.D.S. Program for Foreign Dentists and director of the Prevetative Dentistry Teaching Program and Clinic.  He died January 21, 2018 at the age of 88.
