Welch, Jr., SUNY Distinguished Service Professor Emeritus, Department of Political Science, whose career at the University at Buffalo spanned nearly six decades. Dr. Welch's pioneering research in human rights, non-governmental organizations (NGOs), civil-military relations, and political transitions, especially in Africa, are well documented throughout this collection.
