Abstract: Records (mainly photocopies) of President Clifford Furnas concerning the University of Buffalo and State University of New York merger in 1962. Much of the records contain statistics of the twenty years leading up to the UB-SUNY merger, and include budgets, enrollment (including some with breakdowns by program and gender), faculty, research, and building construction. Additional narratives give historical context and significant overview of the University of Buffalo at the time of the merger and the immediate years prior, as well as alternate paths in lieu of the merger.
