Abstract: The Office of the President Files on Samuel P. Capen, 1922-1957 [bulk 1922], includes files containing biographical information on Chancellor Samuel P. Capen and the members of his family; also records concerning the inauguration of Capen in October 1922, as Chancellor of the University of Buffalo. Capen served from 1922 to 1950. The Dedication of Rotary Field and Foster Hall took place at the same time as the inauguration of Chancellor Capen. The collection includes news clippings, meeting minutes, event programs, invitations, speech transcripts, photographs, correspondence, and memorabilia.
