Jeanette Martin Navel served as Secretary to the Chancellors and Presidents of the University of Buffalo, and the State University of New York at Buffalo, from 1922 to her retirement in 1969 (Chancellor Capen to President Meyerson). This album was presented to her on her retirement, and includes photographs of the University and more than fifty letters from members of the University administration, faculty, and staff, containing recollections of “Miss Martin’s” almost fifty years of service.
Photographs mainly consist of University Chancellors and Presidents, both portraits and at University events. Letters from UB people contain information on the then private University of Buffalo, including details of daily life, etc. An itemized list of photographs and letter correspondents is available on request.

Noah (Mordecai) Historical Marker Collection, 1960-2013 (bulk 2010-2013)
Ecumenical materials documenting aspects of the efforts to place a historic marker to recall the events of 1825 when Mordecai Noah, American Jewish diplomat, politician and newspaperman made an attempt to found a refuge for persecuted European Jews on Grand Island, New York.
