Iggers (Georg G.) Papers
The collection contains correspondence, course files, and class registers of Dr. Georg G. Iggers. The bulk of the material dates from his time at the University at Buffalo. Series I contains correspondence from the years 1955-1984 (bulk 1967-1984). Series II consists of correspondence between the years 1985-2007 (bulk 1985-1999). The correspondence includes letters from graduate students, professional colleagues, publishers, and organizations, filed alphabetically by name of correspondent or subject (e.g. Philander Smith College or Grants). It also includes both incoming letters and carbon copies or handwritten drafts of letters by Iggers. Folders labeled “Annual Report (family)” contain Iggers family newsletters. Series III consists of course files and class registers from the years 1959-1998
