Charles H. Diefendorf Hall Annex

Location: Lost Buildings

Historical Note:

Diefendorf Annex was a temporary building constructed in the 1960s to provide expansion space for the growing university.  Over its forty-plus year history, it has served as the location of the Math Library, the Undergraduate Library, and classroom space.  After Squire Hall was closed as the Student Union, Diefendorf Annex was converted into a 400-seat cafeteria.  Before the building was closed in 2018, it housed departments from the School of Public Health and Health Professions and the Office of University Preparatory Programs.  The site of Diefendorf Annex will now serve as a redesigned Bailey Avenue entry for the South Campus.
